Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to my teacher webpage!

I am excited to be back at Pisgah for a seventh year! Pisgah is such a great place with incredible people and students, and I feel lucky each year to be here!

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English (2011) and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary English Education (2012), both from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. I am currently waiting on the results of my my National Board Certification portfolio – fingers crossed! I also recently completed a Certificate in Holocaust Pedagogy program through Queens University of Charlotte.

During my teaching career, I have taught English classes to all grade levels, from 9th – 12th. I enjoy getting to teach such a wide variety of students and texts. One of my favorite things about teaching this range is seeing students grow and mature from English I to English IV!

Outside of the classroom, I am heavily involved in Holocaust Education in the state of North Carolina. I serve as a Region Co-Director for the Western Region as well as the County Coordinator for Haywood County with the North Carolina Council on the Holocaust.
