Sometimes it is important to find a “Just Right” book for your child/student. It is easy to find Guided Reading Levels in our catalog. Use “Destiny Quest” – tab on left side. Here are the steps:
Login to Destiny Quest using your Novell login.
- Click on “Advanced Search” (top tab)
- Under “Limit my Search to…” Choose Fountas and Pinnell and enter a reading level range.
- You can then also narrow your search via Genre, Author, Subject, etc.
- You can also search by Author and Subject and narrow your search via Fountas and Pinnell by putting an Author or Subject in the “Find” box at the top. Once your list appears, narrow your search (on the left) by Fountas and Pinnell. You can also do this in the “Advanced Search” screen.
- Finding the level of a book can also be found by searching for the Title and placing your mouse on the cover of the book. If the book is leveled, it will be show in the “Quick Details” screen.
- Students in grades 3-5 have been putting these “Just Right” books in their “Personal List”. Continuing to save books on this specific list will enable them to find good books on their level very quickly and easily.
