Science Goals and Objectives

Students investigate the progression of tool use and development of tools and machines over time. They understand that humans continue inventing new ways of solving problems and getting things done. As they study inventions and technological advances, they begin to understand how new ideas and inventions affect people. They analyze the advantages and disadvantages of new ideas and inventions. 

The learner will:

  • conduct investigations and use appropriate technology to build an understanding of weather and climate. 
  • conduct investigations to build an understanding of the interdependence of plants and animals.
  • make observations and conduct investigations to build an understanding of landforms.
  • conduct investigations and use appropriate technologies to build an understanding of forces and motion in technological designs.
