Curriculum Coordinators

Each school in Haywood County has a Curriculum Coordinator.  The job of our curriculum coordinators or lead teachers, as we often refer to them,  is to serve as a resource for the teaching staff for the purpose of strengthening daily instruction.  They serve in a much needed capacity by:

• Working with system-level personnel to develop and promote system-wide curriculum and instructional programs
• Integrating and coordinates the curriculum and its instructional programs including remediation and enrichment
• Organizes and conducts staff development activities for school personnel including mentoring and demonstration teaching
• Planning with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel on a regular basis
• Serving as a resource person to teachers for regular and supplementary instructional materials
• Coordinating volunteer program
